Earlier in life James Rouvelle was a composer and performer in the classical music world, but gravitated into the sound installation genre, where he learned basic electronics and became interested in micro-controllers, IC's, networks, and robotics - the basis of work he does today. Rouvelle, Professor of Interactive Media at the Maryland Institute College of Art, exhibits his work in galleries, lectures on his process and inventions, collaborates with others, teaches, and continues to learn.

Joe Reinsel, Visiting Assistant Professor of Visual Arts, Interactive Art at the University of Maryland Baltimore County(UMBC), creates aural and visual art using digital and analog tools and instruments. He combines original media - including video, sound installation, music and digital art - to give form and substance to his vision. Transcending emotion and reality, his work questions the linkages of interpersonal relationships through allegory and real-time samplings of the environment. Reinsel's background in music composition provides the perfect base from which to explore interests in a range of electronic media. | Steve Bradley, Associate Professor of Visual Arts, Foundations & Digital Media at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), is a transmedia artist/educator who works with time-based media, sound performance/installation, and material culture. He explores the boundaries of urban and suburban culture by collecting debris, sound, and images mapping human behavior throughout the cityscape. Since 1998, he has curated art@radio <http://art-radio.net>, a net.radio broadcast of sound art and experimental music. |
